POSTCARD: Meanwhile, back in Happyland

At Copenhagen Airport, young globetrotters are always welcome

And it’s not just the vehicles that are cool. CPH is generally a child friendly place. Terminal 2 has a large play area for the little ones and there are plenty of changing facilities throughout the airport.

However, it’s not all for the kids! Great improvements have taken place┬árecently, particularly for the BA travellers who, since the cosy old BA lounge closed, have been breathing liver pate infused air in the ┬ácommunal lounge in Terminal 2. But this is all in the past. If you are heading over from the UK or anywhere else outside Schengen, try the new Lounge at C Gates. This is called the ‘Eventyr’ (read adventure or fairytale, depending on circumstances), and is situated on the second floor by the runway. It’s open to everyone – free for business class traveller or DKK 250,- if you have an economy ticket. It’s a clean, carpet free zone, packed with charger sockets, and, for those able to put down their gadgets for a few seconds, a panoramic view of the runway.
